Almost time for Saban's players to start getting inducted.

Mark Ingram was one of the players listed for the 2025 ballot (along with Chris Samuels and Nick Saban). The final 2025 ballot is supposed to be announced in early 2025 so we will see if they make the cut to the next round of voting.

I'm still hoping Samuels and Bobby Humphrey get in one day, for the pre Saban players.
I don't believe Shaun Alexander is eligible.
Saban will definitely go in, Ingram eventually too.

Shaun Alexander should be eligible as he was on the AFCA First Team All American list. I think you only have to be on one of the recognized lists to be eligible.

IMO, Shaun, along with Derek Henry are the two greatest running backs in Alabama history. His vision and intelligence were IMO second to none in the history of football. He was a marvel. If he hadn’t incurred the foot injury he would be a shoo-in for the NFL HOF.
Mark and Shaun are two of my favorites, they are unabashed Alabama fans. All are not, especially some white players and others associated with Alabama in the media.
Shaun carried Alabama as a player on teams with lesser talent. Made Bama very good in 1996, won an unlikely SEC title in ‘99 when he was all they had, with the help of Samuel as OT and Griffen on D. Of course there were other good players and thanks are due to all who contributed. But Shaun was the only thing they had to make them special enough to beat Spurrier’s UF team twice that year, including breaking their 30 game win streak at the Seamp and an SEC title. Helped bridge the gap between 1992 and 2009.
Then when Bama hit the skids because of draconian sanctions and the national media were yucking it up and declaring Alabama a relic of the past who would never recover, Shaun would appear on national TV shows because of his NFL fame and unashamedly promote the Tide in the face of hosts who considered Alabama a laughing stock. He was a great representative - articulate, dignified, yet enthusiastic and up beat. He was a lone wolf. I hope people will never forget.

Saban is a first ballot Hall of Famer.

I think this goes without saying lol.
As for Shaun Alexander...he's my favorite Bama RB alltime. He coincided with my time on campus so he was the main bright spot and gave us that great, unlikely 1999 SEC championship season.
Can't remember which game, but I remember it was late in a game...Bama was down and they put him back to return the kickoff. He'd never been a returner thatcI remember. Dude took it to the house...it was awesome to see him put on the Superman cape in that moment. Also remember that BYU game where he scored 5 TDs in a shootout...great game.
Plus just a great person and class act. Wish he could have broken 10,000 yards rushing in the NFL...I think with the MVP that would have eventually gotten him into the HOF...so close.

The frick? Why isn't anyone blasting this unabashed racism? It's people like you that give this fan base a bad name. Racism has no place on this board.
Why do you have to bring race into this? Where are all the white knights that torpedo racist threads? Let's stop racism. It takes all of us. Love Trumps Hate. End hate now. Stand up to racism.

Friend of ours met SA once. I think he and his then-12 or so years old daughter got to sit next to SA at a game. Said SA was super nice.
