Anyone think Saban is secretly happy that Bama didn't make the playoffs?

Proves what a great coach he was and how hard it is. Not just anyone can do it. I think he's happy.

No because he is not a childish loser like half of this board.

Do you really think Saban needed his successor to have a 9-3 season to “prove” anything about Saban?

Saban don't got nothing to prove anymore. He's not a jealous guy.

There's a picture floating around of Miss Terry looking at Dabo with lovey-dovey eyes. So, something's up.

I don't know about all that.

But 2023 was probably his best coaching job. That team was actually rated #8 in advanced metrics, the lowest ranked Alabama team since 2007/2008 and Alabama managed to make the playoffs and take the NC to OT.

Wait - you mean the guy who went on a radio show last week, making excuses about his failed tenure as an NFL coach 18 years ago???

No, he absolutely has no ego that on some level is pleased the team isn’t having a much success now that he’s gone.

Of course. It’s like your boss replacing you when you retire, only to have everyone say, damn the new person is great. We should have hire them a long time ago. I think he wants Bama to succeed but I’m not so sure he wants Bama to be great or possibly do better

Why does he need anyone to prove anything? He reigned terror like an absolute mad man for over a decade

I wanted to see the rant burn with all the melts with them making it. That said, I couldn't care less after that.
