They just rewarded a team for not playing a tough team.

They literally went against everything they did the last two weekends

It’s fine, Sankey and the Big Ten will likely just force a consolidated league eventually

This is going to have the SEC very angry

fricking stupid to reward teams for losing the games against quality opponents. SMU will probably get destroyed in penn state and rightfully so.
We didnt deserve it, but we sure as shite are better than SMU.

And each SEC team should play the same number of teams coming off a bye week.

Angry little man. Does not change a thing to your thread. You stated removing tough opponents and I asked how OU and Vandy are considered tough.

How would that have helped us this year?

I'm not going to defend our losses to either one of those teams, but their records maybe a tad bit misleading when you factor in who they played in the regular season:

Vanderbilt - Texas, Missouri, South Carolina, LSU, Tennessee, and Alabama
Oklahoma - Tennessee, Texas, Ole Miss, South Carolina, LSU, and Alabama

Those are two very difficult schedules. We must ask ourselves: what would their record have been had those two teams were given the schedules that Indiana and SMU were gifted with by virtue of their conference affiliations?

It actually does. We play teams that are hard already.

We need to remove every tough OOC team. The SEC should follow the B1G and ACC model and keep the top teams away from each other as well.

If SMU, Clemson, Indiana, etc has to play that schedule they have 4 to 5 losses

Based on the final rankings I would agree but we still at the end of the day need to win the games we are suppose to win. Either a win versus Vandy or OU and this conversation would not be happening.

We will when we remove tough games like OSU and Notre Dame in the future then we remove games like Georgia and others.

Georgia, Texas and Alabama should never play each other in regular season.

We need to react strongly to this and follow the B1G model

Saban is trying to explain this but understand that the new future is B12 and ACC teams scheduling 60-90th rank schedules and having 2-3 one or two loss teams and them making it in because they just set that precedent SOS doesn't matter

Seriously Bryne needs to cancel every big game from OOC and we need to lobby SEC with Texas and GA to avoid each other in schedule.

We have already seen Penn State and Michigan rewarded for years doing this.

About time we get with the program
