Truly Terrible PBP guy.
SMU 3 yard run on 1st and 10..”THIS PROVES SMU BELONGS IN THE PLAYOFFS”
I thought they were suppose to be unbiased

He's another everybody gets a trophy guy. Just look at him. You know he was always the last kid picked for sports.

He and McElroy were openly rooting for SMU to win. It was so blatantly obvious what they were doing. I’m not sure what ESPN’s deal is with Alabama but they outright hate our program.

It was annoying hearing them campaigning for the losing team, but I generally like McDonough and Mcelroy as announcers.
I think that it was obvious that they were instructed by the top to do what they did, so it's whatever.

It was pretty bad...got on my nerves. Like it matters what they think.
My theory, is that all of espn is trying to say and act like smu should be in over Bama so they sound like the good guys. Yyyyyettttt, they really want Bama in for the money and ratings.

Agreed. I couldn’t believe the complete horse shite McDonough was spewing. Greg didn’t surprise me, dude NEVER, EVER has anything positive to say about Bama.
IMO, there are two reasons for this. First, these goobers are sick and tired of Bama winning and being in the playoffs yet don’t have any issue with UGA and Ohio State being in every year. Makes no sense. It says to me they specifically have a real hard on to diss Bama specifically.
Second, these goobers in the media LOOOOOOOOVES the idea of a real life version of the movie “Hoosiers” where you have a team of guys no one has heard of, that’s never come anywhere close to being a major contender and coached by a coach with a chip on his shoulder. A few years ago, it was TCU. This year, it’s SMU.
I love “Hoosiers”, one of my all time favorite flicks but the reality is these type stories seldom end well (TCU proving they had no business being there) and I suspect SMU will get crushed if they get in.

I hope he gets stuck with calling all of BAMA's playoff games.
