Byes need to go to the top four ranked teams. Auto bids to teams like Boise and SMU/Clemson are what's screwing the bracket up and giving teams that didn't earn it, easier paths to the semis and championship game.

There's a real possibility that a double digit seed would play Notre Dame and then Boise as their first two games. That's BS.

Agree it’s gonna make the bracket look whack and sometimes it will be better to be the 5th seed than the 1 seed

Georgia would not be better off losing the SECCG because we would probably fall into that 8.9 range which is the worst.

But Texas honesly may be better off losing this weekend. They'd be the fifth seed most likely. They's host Bama but then get Boise in the quarterfinals.

Shitty systems are what happen when you create a system based off of emotion and socialist principles that pretend everyone is the same and deserves the same right to access. Don't worry they will create a worse one to ensure mean Alabama is excluded next time - just like expanding to 4 because of 2011 and then 12 because of 2017 and 2023 was supposed to do. This time it'll work!

It's not protecting blue bloods. Well, only two of them, provided they win the SEC or B1G.

You insinuating that Georgia is a blue blood is absolutely laughable.

You're a blue blood bitch but that's as close as it gets.

The SEC teams will go on the road to the Big-10 every year while the likes of SMU/Clemson, Boise State, and Arizona State/Iowa St. get to sit back and watch them beat the shite out of each other.

This will rinse/repeat every year with various 1-loss ACC/Big-12/MWC teams.

Nice setup.

Need a 16 team playoff next year. If it’s a great money maker. They will probably expand it to 32 teams. Special when they to start paying the 2 million per year for previous players.

It was a good idea at the time. They gotta let it play out. They will fix it in the next year or two.

My bad, you were talking about Texas. I knew you weren't insinuating that anything out of Athens was Blue Blood anything.

The good thing about it is that Notre Dame can’t get a bye with their weak schedules. I hope it forces them to join a conference and then they get rid of the auto-byes right after

Notre Dame gets a home game vs the last team in and then a bowl game vs Boise State or Arizona State.

I think they're pretty content with this setup.

Conferences have tried to “force” ND to join for years. They have enough clout to tell them to piss up a rope
