Thoughts on being 11th in the CFP Rankings

We got as good a shot as anyone, as crazy as that sounds. I’m almost hoping we get matched up against a couple of teams that are favored to beat us in the first couple rounds. We seem to play better when we’re expected to lose

In the playoff is better than the Citrus Bowl but not confident we win on the road at all versus ND or OSU.
Milroe in 15 deg weather against good defenses.

The meltdown is almost as good as 2011.

I think Penn State is a better matchup because their offense is not great but then again their defense is much better than Notre Dame's imo. Both games will be tough...win and advance.

If he was only Derrick Henry. Unfortunately his seems allergic to making a decision and sticking to north/south runs up the field. My biggest frustration with him.

Also PSU would be coming off the CCG vs Oregon. Bama would have a bye week and the coaching staff has done well preparing after the bye it seems

This. And, as others have pointed out, people predicted that going from 4 to 12 wouldn't do anything to stop the whining. If we do get in, and even more so if we make a good run, it will be so much fun pointing out that we'd never even have been under consideration under a 4-team playoff. Just like we won a 2017 NC where we'd have never been in the championship game under the 2-team setup.

What's extra hilarious especially on this site, is that LSU really helped Bama get in. They beat OM and South Carolina. I was cheering against LSU in both games but it ended up being a good thing. They also found themselves ranked again giving Bama another ranked win

Yep; very good point. Lost to us; beat USCe and OM. Had they done only two of those three things ...

I'll feel better after the SEC CG and ACC CG are settled

How annoying is it that we're now essentially forced to watch the ACC CG!?
I bet they'll see a sizeable bump in ratings since a lot of Bama fans will be tuning in.
