Believe that Texas is the best team in the country ... with one big caveat

I think Quinn Ewers is an average (at best) college quarterback and don't believe he’s capable of leading us to a national championship or even SEC title
Puzzled as to why Sark is so high on him
He lacks athleticism, leadership and routinely make poor decisions
Apparently he's the second coming of Tom Brady in practice, because I haven't seen anything in actual games to warrant him being on the field
Arch though inexperienced, is by far the better athlete
The majority of our 22 offensive and defensive starters match up with most of the top teams in recent memory, but our greatest liability just happens to be the most important piece to the puzzle

Can’t really argue your point, he gives me anxiety attacks coming out of half time every game now.

He must give you the best shot at winning in general. If Arch was the answer then he would play. Plenty of QB’s have played as Freshman, specifier us Tua, Hurts, etc.. but Ewers must be the guy.

Before reading, is the caveat that they're not?

The caveat is that you lost badly at home to Georgia.

It's too late now. This should have been done mid-season. Let's just pray we figure out a way to get by Georgia. As long as Ewers won't turn the ball over, we're good. The problem is
1) Just like A&M did - Georgia will shut down the dink and dunk. The passing game and Ewers' stats are not going to get the easy way out. We will have to go vertical - which is a stiffer requirement vs. Georgia.
2) We can't run the ball every play. Even if it was successful, Sark couldn't do it. It's in his wiring. He would bust a spring if he wasn't allowed to call a pass play.
So cross your fingers and hope Ewers turns in a pedestrian, turnover-free game. If he does, we win.

It’s very frustrating. I actually called the pick 6 about 2-3 plays ahead of time because I knew whatever force was at work with Quinn would show up and we wouldn’t be allowed to take a 24-0 lead.
He then rather than trying to get past a mistake will let it screw with his mind and he will make additional mistakes.
I can’t understand the guy. I’ve seen him fired up before and after games but he still just doesn’t seem to be into the game and looks stressed and baffled at times. I want badly for him to succeed and for people to embrace him but he doesn’t make it easy to do so.
His legacy at Texas will come down to the remaining games of this season. He will either be loved if he can lead us to the promised land - or he won’t leave behind a Vince or Colt vibe if he falters and it seems as if most of it is responsible for us falling short of what this team is capable of.
I feel like inserting Arch more and more (yes, I know these are important/playoff games) could be the answer. Switch it up even more, keep the defense guessing and give Quinn a few less snaps.

Agree with everything you said but be careful. The sunshine pumpers who keep quinn's cock in their mouth will call you names.
You're right though. 3rd quarter quinn is fricking awful. I'm not sure what he does at halftime but prepare for the 3rd quarter is not part of it.

would you be shocked to hear that we realize you beat us badly at home? Really...we know as hard as that is to believe.

The only things of concern i saw last night was receivers and Ewers not being on the same page and him putting balls in an open field because of it - it's unclear whose fault that is (WR or QB)?. The floater over the middle to the end zone that almost got picked was the one pass that i remember being a bad decision.
The pick 6 was off a tipped ball, so who knows where that would have been placed.
Yall may have the 'QB2' bug but to be fair QB2 is a manning.

Exactly. Tips aren’t a QBs fault.
The fumble on the other hand definitely was on him, but give the defender credit for making an amazing play.

He's pretty good. You arent taking into account his ability to manage a game and keep the O out of trouble. Sometimes, limiting damage and punting for field position is a good thing.

Tipped throws have become a part of Ewers portfolio. The QB is accountable for those.

A defensive lineman tipping a pass is not a QB’s fault.

No they’re not lol. A DB tipping a pass, sure. Defensive lineman? No. That falls on the OL allowing the defender to get their hands up.

Last time I heard the National Championship game is in January.

This actually might be the best thing for your program.
Sark doesn’t think Manning gives your team the best chance to win. Getting a year to develop is probably the best thing long term for his career, and should the need arise in the playoffs you get a guy who is fresh, talented and the other team isn’t ready for.
You’ll almost certainly be better for the next two years because of that decision.

The OL “allowing” the guy to put up a hand?? That’s funny. You’ve never played.
Nope, QB can’t just haul off and sling with no awareness of defenders and potential for disaster. It’s one of the parameters.
