Will help if Miami beats SMU

SC will probably jump us if that happens.

ETA: It wouldn't hurt if Georgia Tech somehow beats Georgia, either.

Boz ever the optimist... I feel like we are out either way.

I'm a glass half empty kind of guy

That would be the best case. USC West beats ND. USC East beats Clemson, and we really need Vandy to show up honestly.

Mind blowing best case is Milroe duds it up against Auburn and a backup QB shows out, giving us a chance to actually beat a top 10 defense again.

We need

Texas has to win
2 ahead of us to lose, if A&M wins, 3 have to lose

Will help if Miami drags SMU, close game doesn’t help. I’m not sure if they are going to penalize a conference championship participant.

And on that subject. Any a-hole fan that says this team shouldn't be in or doesn’t deserve it, or whatever the frick else doesn't understand that 100% of the time, it's better to be in the playoff than not, no matter the outcome.

I would generally agree, but you have to also consider that another blowout loss could break this program, and with our one-dimensional offense, it’s definitely possible.

No team that gets run off the field by 21 points, the game could have been much worse than that, by a 5 loss team, deserves to be in the playoffs.

I guess you envisioned 12 undefeated teams making the playoff moving forward.

The NCAA made it easier to get into the playoffs, not harder.

I'm always with you Boz.

I wish Vandy could bear rocky top. That would really open the door for us

I would hope not, but recency bias is a thing with this committee.

I think you need Miami or SMU to blow the other one out. Close game and I think they both get in.

Having a chance, no matter how slim is better than no chance at all. Getting into the playoff, even if you're a soft team is good for program development, fan morale and most importantly, recruiting.

It's always, Always, ALWAYS better to be in than out. You stand no chance at all if you're out, and every once in a while, all a team needs is a chance.
