Why should South Carolina be ranked above Bama and Ole Miss?

All have the same records yet both Bama and Ole Miss beat South Carolina. If games don’t matter what are we doing?

It's all about those quality losses now

If you are 9-3 and get left out it’s your own fault for giving the committee reasons not to pick you. If you want to make the dance don’t lose 3 times. If a 9-3 team makes it and ole miss is left out I won’t be upset. We don’t deserve a spot. You can’t lose to UK, UF, and LSU and pretend you’re an elite team. Same goes for bama and USC. Blame your coach not the committee.

Since the championship is played at the end of the season, it makes sense that the team playing the best towards the end of the season should be rewarded...
I am not sure if head to head is as relevant this year...does that really mean that one team is better than the other? Do Bama fans think that Vandy is better than them? same with Ole Miss and Kentucky.
I think you reward the team finishing the season the best...that would be South Carolina if they beat Clemson...

why do you get to be the arbiter of which games matter while ignoring others?
A resume at this point is made up of 11 games that all matter.

If that’s the case then put South Carolina in the SECCG against Georgia. I get a one off upset like Vandy over Bama but three losses isn’t a fluke

Exactly why the real 2007 National Champions are the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

My brother is a UGa fan, and he made the comparison between 24 SC and 07 UGa. I think he's got a fine point.
Hottest team down the stretch, that's really figured out how to play together. Is that enough to jump two teams that have faltered? Probably not, though i can see how it "should" be. But it's a discussion point.
None of it matters if SC doesn't go into Tatertown and beat Clemson. That's all that matters. Good season, CFP talk, none of it matters. Win the state.

If they beat Clemson, they would. Their losses aren't as bad as Ole Miss and Alabama's.

Ole Miss beat Carolina 27-3 at CAROLINA. And it wasn’t even really that close

I’d assume that once losses are the same, then head to head matters and then quality of losses, but it doesn’t matter. I’d rather a G5 team be in than a 3 loss team. Were mediocre at best.

The LSU loss has an * IMO. Anyone who watched that game knows the Cocks were robbed.
That being said, I think we get left out. 9-3 with a win over Clemson would be a fantastic season, though.

Yes. Just like SC won't make the SEC Championship game this season, either.
Down the stretch in 07, UGa was a damn killer. Down the stretch in 24, SC is a killer. It's an apt comparison. No one is saying SC is the no.1 team in *anything,* just like UGa wasn't, either. Just that they're playing phenomenally well after some early miscues.

and let's be honest. SC beat LSU. Everyone knows that call was total BS.
