Does it really matter right now if Freeze is just an 8-4 coach? We just won a game and winning 6 is what we need at the moment. Gus wasnt even an 8-4 coach. His sugar bowl year he lost 5!

The “talent” has BEEN THERE

This years’ team is 2-3X more “talented” than last year’s

So we won because of the talent? Not because of the luck.

Yep. The only place you can easily argue we are more talented than last year is WR and maybe DL, maybe. Everywhere else it’s a push at best, but really only because the young talent is starting to come into their own the last few weeks. LB has surprisingly gotten worse.

Otherwise, you really can’t make an argue we are much more talented. Yes, the freshman are and will be, but most aren’t ready outside a few that are the ones making the plays for us. The upperclassmen almost cost us that game again with some of their bad penalties and such (not just blaming them, they just did what they normally do in crunch time). We came through though and found a way to win.

It is a step in the right direction.

Maybe that "young talent" (yall haters always forget the "young" part) has gotten coached up and gotten 11 weeks worth of experience and played a little better? You notice how Coleman has gotten better over the year? You notice how Riddick, on defense, has gotten a lot more playing time? There is nuance to it. You can't just look at the roster and say "Psssh, all these 4 stars suck because we aren't winning as much as the blue chip ratio says we should."
