Yah he's a true freshman that's going to make the wrong read once in a while..

But he was essentially immobile last night, LSU knew it and tried to pressure him, and he took 0 sacks. Absolutely incredible pocket awareness for a hobbled true freshman making his 3rd start.

Hopefully he can run against Ole Miss and we will have a chance to win.

and in play where he nearly did he flicked his wrist from near midfield right into badgers hands

That were as a solid performance from DJ

I was absolutely floored at how well he did. I for sure didn’t think he would have lasted the whole if he took one hard hit. But wow, he’s got grit! And the team plays better with him in the huddle.

Can Napier actually get to six wins in 2024? Unbelievable.

Most impressive thing about DJ’s performance was he was able to do it with Billy Napier as his play caller!

Yeah, it is pretty incredible and now 8-5 isn't outside the realm of possibility. Ole Miss has lost to Kentucky and LSU, which is good news. Bad news I guess would be that they beat Georgia down and the fact that Ole Miss has two weeks to prep for this game. But, I think if there was one game on the calendar Napier's crew has circled out of self-preservation, it has to be Ole Miss. If they are able to take care of Ole Miss next week, FSU would be a formality, and I'd take them over any other 7-5 team from another conference in a bowl.

All that said, I think 5-7 is still on the table with a coach like Napier.

Yeah there are no guarantees with Napier. I wouldn't be shocked at a loss to FSU.

Give him credit though, the team has continued to play hard.

I get trying to develop DJ, and we won with the game plan so whatever, but it was a bit strange how little we ran it yesterday

Normally I’m fine with that but seeing LSU’s run defense against A&M and Bama it seemed like that would be the way to go?

We had like 53-56 rushing yards going into the 4th, but that drive where Baugh took it to the house we ran a bit,
With success, and that made the rush numbers look respectable.

But it was a headscratcher that we leaned on the pass as much as we did
