I believe Dawgs will win this game if

they don't give it away. UT defense at 17 pts per SEC game, and 24.5 on offense. Dawgs 23 and 28, respectively. I don't think either side wants a wide open game, so IMHO this will be a game Munson and Dooley would love, Dawgs win 17-13.

Frazier has to hold on to the ball

Looks like he will either start or play significant minutes. Where is Bowens?

Don't know which one but, UGA will lose at least one more regular season game. I know, I'm a shite head. But based on this whole season and certainly the Ole Siss game, this team is not all that good. OL is crap and has been for the majority of the season. And with the lackluster offensive showing this season, it has placed far too much pressure on the defense.
I hope Kirby makes the much needed changes during the off season.

I'm hoping for the best but my expectations are pretty guarded after seeing our OL get dismantled by the Ole Miss OL.
Tennessee also has a good DL so we will find out if most of the OL issues have been resolved or if it's simply player quality.

I rewatched the game twice yesterday and here is what I came away with...
1) Beck wasn't really the problem. The one INT was tipped at the line, which technically could be on him I guess. His fumbles were because his blind side was never protected all game even with sorry Delp chip blocking.
2) Blind side blocking was the issue all night, too much pressure. Greene sucked. Tate injured pretty much sucked too but he has an excuse. Now, the only pass here is the rain + loud fans at night causing disruptions in the cadence of everything.
3) WR's had a couple of drops but overall made some plays. Not enough due to pressure and Beck couldn't get them the ball
4) Front 7 was actually playing lights out. Ole Miss got us into the deep end a few times with their slot receiver matched against the LB's. But other than that with the weather sometimes the footing and playing up on a WR it creates space.
5) Bobo is being too predictable and you could tell Pete Goulding knew most of our tendencies. However, you take away some of our fumbling and this game was probably within 3 pts until the end.
Against Tenn:
If we can game plan around Oline injuries, this is a 2 score beat down. If we can't its a 3-7 pt game one way or the other.

Supposedly Greene has a bum shoulder, and he was recruited by most teams as a guard and doesn't have the arm length and he has to be on his A game to play left tackle in the SEC.
I was wondering how one player could possibly regress so hard in one season, but that might explain it.
...I thought our interior defensive linemen were pillow fighting against Ole Miss. Maybe Stackhouse, Christen Miller and Ingram-Dawkins really do have heavy legs from playing too many snaps this season.

If Nico is in fact out, we probably hope for a defensive struggle. I heard the Vols DL is really good and considering Beck's issue and the injuries at RB we need to limit turnovers. I think we come out fired up, but it's just hard to figure out where the offense is going to get production with all the issues we've had this year.

I heard the same, then we need to give him some better chip blocking help by a TE

dawg for life - you mention 'Georgia's tendencies'. I agree. Our tendencies are obvious to the league. Bobo's fault. Sometimes I can call the very nature of the play that is to be run - and so do the defenses.

The tipped ball at the line bothered me as we had 2 O lineman standing in front of the D Lineman who was not appearing to rush and no one engaged him. We were taught to engage those guys so they couldn’t get their hands up cleanly. The D lineman took away the passing lane in the middle of the field where we were going with the play.

Why didn't Beck arc it instead of a flat pass?
Posted on 11/14/24 at 3:39 pm to Spaceman Spiff
Because lobbing the ball over the middle gets people killed.

Frazier may or may not have fumblitis, but it was drivng rain in Mississippi.

Brooks Austin called this out after the FL game.
Seems like a coaching issue in that they are not coaching it

That pass was toward the sidelines to #84 and should have been lobbed with arc imo
The safety was still 5 yards away when it hit our guy in the face mask

Agreed. It seems same ole same ole from Bobo.
I defended him at the start of the season. I know we are really limited due to injuries, but how about get creative with what you got?

100% this. I saw this in real time and was waiting for Brooks Austin to validate what I saw with my own eyes. In his video, he didn't go over that play. But if the defender is less than 3 yards downfield, and you having nothing better to do than tap dance in your empty gap, go get a hand on somebody. The pass might have been tipped anyway, but just go put your hands on somebody.

I think Beck is just lazy in the pocket and going through the motions.
Anticipate, step aside and throw in a clean passing lane.
He has allowed his boredom to creep into his fundamentals.

Our left tackle missed the block and Beck was about to get rocked. He had to throw it early. Messed up the timing and angle of passing lane. Beck tried to stuff it in there and damn near did. You can argue a better throw could have been made, but if we don’t 100% whiff on the block the play easily goes for 20. A touch pass is a slower release and likely would have been affected by the guy about to tackle Beck. Beck had to get it out of his hands right then.
