You can't count on that. Very good chance the SEC only gets 3 due to the way we pummel each other.

Wrong unless there are major upsets in the ACC the last few weeks. If TN beats GA barring a big SEC upset the only 3 SEC playoff teams will be the Texas - A&M game winner, TN and Bama. If GA beats TN it creates quite a few possible scenarios for the 3 teams.

This Tuesday will give us a pretty good indication on what the committee is thinking and how they’re going to weigh the conferences.

With Miami’s loss this past weekend, the ACC is a 1 bid league imo
Big 12 *could* steal 2 bids if ByU wins out and loses in the ccg

Why don't they lump Notre Dame in with the G5? Notre Dame just gets in because they are Notre Dame? Too good to align themselves with a conference. They ain't all that special.

Technically they are getting in on merit at this pernt not eligible for bye

The only way I see the Big 12 getting two is if BYU goes unbeaten and loses to Colorado in the championship game. That would take a spot from the SEC or the Big Ten.
ACC is a one bid league - down to Clemson, Miami, SMU and Louisville.
