The parity is so wild this year, I think uga osu and Oregon are good not great and then below them you have a clusterfrack of about 20-30 teams that are incomplete. They either have a solid roster with no playmakers or a few playmakers and a terrible roster. The offense is good but the defense stinks or vice versa. Some teams have great starters but walk on back ups.

I watched a lot of their game against Ohio St and I was not impressed with their athletes.
They do not have the same type of studs other top SEC programs have, IMHO. Well, maybe my opinion is not so humble.

That's probably a bit of an exaggeration, but I don't disagree.
Oregon did need a field goal as time expired to beat Boise State, otherwise BSU has beaten #21 Washington State, which probably wouldn't be ranked if in the SEC.
SMU has beaten #18 and #22, although Pitt and Louisville are ranked because their schedules are total crap.
BYU probably has the best case for their ranking. They've beaten #13 and #19. They'll play another ranked team in the Big 12 Championship game, if they get there.
The real issue is a mediocre Miami team that has not played anyone, nearly lost to some poor teams, and is Ranked #4. Come on, Miami won in three consecutive weeks by a combined 12 points to Virginia Tech, Cal and Louisville. Penn State is also over-ranked.
The good thing about the playoff is that it will expose over-ranked teams.
