He's had 3 years, and yes his team continues to fight and doesn't quit.

That doesn't excuse:

- 2025 Recruiting Class ranks 51st!!! (11 commits, 3 of which are being heavily projected to flip to Miami)
- Awful special teams miscues against Kentucky, Utah, and Arkansas last year, directly leading to major turning points in games.
- Awful clock management and playcalling in Knoxville.
- Letting a 3rd string Walk-On from Yale throw more passes than the best QB recruit in the country yesterday.
- Insistent on keeping playcalling and not hiring an OC, despite being the MOST PREDICTABLE playcaller in CFB.
- Constantly going against his own "scared money don't make money" mantra

The revisionist history with this guy right now is absolutely fricking nuts.

Hes the worst Florida coach in over 40 years, and yet people are constantly making excuse after excuse for this guy. WHY? If your rivals are PRAYING for you to keep a coach, you have a fricking problem.

Odds are this administration is too fricking stupid and pompous to make the move that needs to be done.

And Lagway probably ends up at Miami anyway, with all the rumors swiriling on the Miami boards.

Holy shite. In a talent-rich state like Florida, that seems almost impossible.

I don't care one way or the other, but I wonder if he gets another year just by virtue of the injury situation at QB. I hope Dennis Allen doesn't get a similar mulligan with the Saints.

Bring him back, and you totally wreck the roster depth based on the negative recruiting alone, including the mass exodus through the transfer portal.

I like Napier at Florida, he's a good fit. He just needs more time, that's all.

When your boosters are publicly saying that his buyout is paid for, it’s hard to recruit. Your admin has cut his nuts off recruiting. To blame that on him is really dumb.

On the field criticism is fair. But for that to be your #1 complaint is blind.

It was bad before the team played 1 game this season, even before getting destroyed by Miami.

Because your fanbase has been crying for him to get fired. How the frick do you expect a guy to recruit when all the people in state are crying for the coach to be fired?

It also appears that your NIL is subpar.

That is on Florida. Freeze is over at Auburn doing a hell of a lot worse and their fans still support him and they are still recruiting well. It's not complicated.

I hope you fire him and hire Lane Kiffin. I want to watch it burn.

UF fans keep telling everyone he’s a dead man walking, not good for recruiting.

You think we're bad? Imagine Deboer going 5-7 2 straight seasons.

As much as I dislike Florida, and I want them to lose..I feel the team that he’s put on the field the past few weeks has played hard for him! One of the things you see when a coach needs to go is the team gives up, plays for themselves and or quits! That team showed up yesterday and could have possibly one that game!
There are no moral victories in this game, but yesterday was a moral victory! You took one of the top 5 teams to 4 qrts, and if your QB does not go down, I think you win!
What does firing him look like, who do you get? You set yourself back to where you were a few years ago..
Now go to Texas and beat their arse!

It's surprising to see that UF is currently ranked last among Florida's big four schools.

I watched Alabama start the season #3 and then go 3-8.

What I'd be looking for is improvements. And it looks to me like Napier has the program in better shape than when found it.

You were 6-7 the year before Napier was hired, and that was against a bunch of unranked teams. Your roster was a mess, and so was your culture.

While he has the same record as Mullen's last year, it's mostly losses to ranked teams. Each year the SoS has gotten harder from what I can see.

Whoever gets the team will be inheriting a good roster and a good culture.

I hope you fire him. Who are you going to hire? All aboard the Lane train. A guy who has never won a big game and leaves programs in a mess.

Your fanbase would have fired Bear in 1970.

He basically gave up on recruiting first year and went all in on the portal.

He just needs a substantial pay raise for motivation!
