UGA vet school is poorly regarded. Too bad.

Not all vet schools can be first class like UT. Several years ago when Smokey had a torn ACL, his treatment was state of the art.

6 vets told my dad his cow dog was gona die of cancer. Uga vet school removed it and he’s still alive 3 years later.

UTk doesn't publish their acceptance rate. Seems odd.
I could go on but this is a frick Florida thread. I will get to the Hilljacks when that time approaches. Off you go.

Auburn’s Vet school is so good it is also Kentucky’s. 38 spots are reserved for Kentucky residents.

UGA does the same thing for SC. Neither Clemson nor USC have a vet school, we reserve 20+ spots each year for them.

It’s always surprised me how few vet schools there are in the US.

Up until the last 15 years or so, people weren't interested in spending $25,000 over the lifespan of their dog. There wasn't demand.
Previously- Dog has cancer, put it down.
Now- dog has cancer, here's $5000 see what you can do Doc.
Back as recently as 2017 the graduating vet students were being warned it is a tough job market. Now, they are having 12+ offers prior to even graduating and they just get to pick where they want to live.

No dog in the game, but Miss State may be the best vet school in the SEC. They have to be first in something, right?

MSU and Auburn’s are top notch. I’ve been fortunate to have a few of their grads take care of my schnauzers. Very meticulous about their craft and take pride in the care they give.

Unfortunately even a world class vet can’t save poor Sparky after it gets nailed by a UGA football player going 100mph+
