"If you think the league's athletic directors aren't happy about the gift road to the SEC championship game, the conference coaches are livid," Hayes wrote before the Longhorns' win at Vanderbilt. "I spoke to three coaches this week, and each not only confirmed the rift about the laughable schedule given to Texas in its inaugural season, but each also made sure to text Georgia coach Kirby Smart and thank him for making it perfectly clear that Texas may be a member of the conference — but Texas hasn't come close to experiencing the conference."

The noteworthy wins for the Longhorns this season include Michigan, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt, three teams no longer ranked inside the AP Poll. Texas took out the defending national champions in Ann Arbor in Week 2, disposed of the Sooners earlier this month and beat the Commodores, 27-24, over the weekend.

This is so dumb. A few years back having OU, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas and yes...even your very own aggy wouldn't be considered a soft schedule at all.

No, really...think about it. Let's say the teams we have on our schedule now don't change for several years. Do you truly think Gata will be down forever? Do you think Hog boosters will always be content with mediocrity? Maybe your own aggy becomes the juggernaut you have pictured in your head? Everyone knows OU isn't going to continue being the way they are this year.

Just a bunch of frickin whiney babies if you ask me. Hell, even Vandy isn't a pushover with Clark Lea at the helm, and Cowbell puts up a fight even if they don't quite have the horses to hang around.

I mean what teams on our schedule would make it a "hard" one? Maybe having Bama and Tenner instead of Vandy and MSU? I mean we're flattered that everyone thinks we could survive literally playing every top team in the SEC, but the schedule was based on how we've done the past 10 years, not 2023.

Sources say it was 3 meat judging team coaches.

Maybe they should have taken Georgia off of Texas schedule to make it fair.

Arkansas has beaten Texas 5 of our last 7 meetings. We are only down against the good teams!

UGA plays @ Bama, @ Texas and @OleMiss + UT home
Bama plays @UT and @ LSU + UGA home
Texas has one away game against the top half of the conference and that is @ A&M, who honestly has an even better situation with All their toughest games at Kyle, and UGA at home.
Vandy, State, Arky, and a Gator team that was talking of firing their coach last year is a pretty easy slate. Not the team’s fault as they can only play who is on the schedule, but don’t try to convince anyone this scheduling is anything close to balanced when UF has 6 teams from the top half of the conference.

You have a major error in the above statement.

UGA is on Texas schedule, not A&M. Secondly, what "tough" game does A&M have at Kyle?

No, you just don’t understand how commas work. I said Texas has one tough game away from home at A&M and UGA at home. LSU and Texas are the 2 teams in the top half of conference that A&M plays, and both are at home. If you don’t want to consider Texas a “tough” game for A&M, I will concede that point.

Aggies don't play:

- Georgia
- TN
- Alabama

Who do you play that is > Georgia?

Your only tough conference game was supposed to be LSU and then us at the end of the year. What am I missing?

Who have YOU played?

Your best win is a 3-point victory over Vanderbilt.

Georgia, numb nuts. We also went to Michigan. And don't forget the mighty fighting faggies eoy.

The accusation is the Texas schedule is soft. My question is how is the A&M schedule NOT also soft?

You love that line because you don’t want to mention who our L is against. You haven’t played anyone within 3 tiers of Georgia, and you get to dance thru the lilypads boasting of dubious prowess bold.

You stumbled into a cakewalk, and even tho we’ll beat you Nov 30, you’ll still come out a 1-loss team that should easily have 3-4.
