Serious question. Weigman is just awful, and has been every time I've watched him. I know Reed played a good bit earlier this season. Why did Elko feel like Weigman was the better option going into the game last Saturday?

Why not both?

Weigman is a 5-star that either plays like a 5-star or sucks. Reed is a 4-star that plays like a 4-star consistently. We have no idea what coaches see in practice every week. For every game rep that we as fans see, the coaches probably see 3 or 4 in practice and make their decision based on that. I trust Elko, so whoever he starts will be the right call.

Has anybody been watching football this year??? Nobody paying attention?

Weigman has already been yanked earlier this season and replaced with Reed! Reed did not impress so TickleMe went back to Weigman two games later.

TickleMe got lucky with Reed against LSU, the fat arse has no idea what he is doing, switching QB's like underwear. Aggie was getting its arse beat, and they rolled the dice and came up snake eyes.

Reed never had a game like that before, and he won't again.

What are you even talking about? Reed won every game he played.

Elko went back to Conner bc he was QB1, and was recovered from his injury.

You’re going all in on this new persona

Reed has looked better that Archie in every game he’s played

Weigman will play again this season
I think Aggies will likely need to use both depending on matchups

Sometimes. But give him a clean pocket and get him heated up, and he throws some really, really accurate balls. That's why he was starting. Reed just missed too many throws when he was the starter.

But Weigman has looked REALLY badly now twice under the brightest lights.

I think we'll play the rest of the season making DCs prepare for either offense.

I hope so, making teams prepare for 2 different offenses is a nice advantage

I actually think it would be brilliant for Elko to start Conner against SCar, bc you know they’ll be expecting Reed.

I don't think you can do it. It would feel unjust and create enmity on the team. You can play Conner, but you can't start him or give him most of the game.

I get it. Then start Reed and pepper Conner in. The team is pulling for both guys, and both are pulling for the other as well, so there’s no controversy.

But showing teams the unexpected has resulted in throwing very obvious game-changing wrenches in the prep work done (or not done) by both Missouri and LSU staffs.

You’ve got to tap into every advantage you have.

lol...the only reason Reed looked that good was because the D spent zero time in practice all week facing zone read stuff.

I would prepare for Reed as he is the only one that requires special preparation. Once you've corralled the one-trick pony then Aggie will go back to normal reindeer games.

Everyone hates a 2 QB system, but sometimes you have to select the right tool for the job. If Conner starts against SCAR and their talented DL, it's going to have to be 2 reads, then run. Our OL is pretty good in run blocking, but he's not going to have time to go through 4 progressions.

Already discussed this.

You've played defenses:

#11, #12, #13, #15, #16. You skipped #14 which was OU.

Solid bottom dweller defenses. Uncanny.

“I know on their depth chart it says (Conner Weigman) is the starting quarterback,” Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said at his weekly press conference, “but I mean, that’s just semantics in my opinion. (Marcel Reed) is 3-0 as the starter and whether (Weigman) is listed as questionable or whatever, I don’t see them going back."

C. Weigman
18/22, 276 YDS
94.6 QBR

I bet he saw him as the starter in hindsight.
