if it come down to a tie breaker with three or four 1 or 2 loss teams?

we may well see some interesting tie breaker scenarios this season…

Every year interesting tie breakers are discussed, and every year they are never needed.

This year will be no different

If we win out its doesn’t really matter.

We would be in the playoffs and that’s really the goal now. I do hate that the 12 team playoffs devalues the SECCG.

You'd think with all the beatings uga has taken from BAMA in the SECCG, they'd want it abolished.

With no divisions and the increased teams…tie breakers will be very relevant.

Reasonable chance the two highest ranked teams don’t go to SECCG.

The winning % of SEC opponents will also likely come into play (shared opponents wash so it will be the uncommon opponents).

Doesn't head to head come first?

Normally if you have more than 2 teams, head to head counts as record against the other teams in the tie. So if UGA, Texas, A&M and LSU were all 7-1 it would look at the records for those teams... which UGA would be 1-0 in, Texas would be 1-1, A&M would be 1-1 and LSU would be 0-1.

A close game against UK wouldn't matter.

Also if other conference games do factor in than UGA's 1 point win over UK would count but so would results like Texas winning by 3 over Vandy, A&M winning by 4 over Arkansas, LSU winning by 3 over SC, Bama winning by 2 vs SC, etc. Everyone has a struggle win this year.

Nah, it was a game with a lot of history and tradition, it’s going to lose some of that now.

Use this SEC championship calculator and see how many combinations you come up with. Someone else posted it earlier in the week. Pretty addicting...

Because of divisions. Now that you have 16 teams all going for just 2 spots it will eventually create a huge mess
