Why??

Texas went down and scored and tacked on the 2-point conversion. Gave the team and the crowd life when Georgia had them pretty much smothered before then.

Some of the in game decisions by Smart were definitely of the WTF variety.

Not that it would have mattered with the beast of a defense.

Had we ran the ball more UGA would have made it into the 40s

And he succeeded in embarrassing us. Those weird calls only gave us hope. It was, at best, stupid.

Kirby said that wasn’t intentional. It was an mis hit. Probably supposed to be more of a squib

Also going for it on 4th down with 2 min left from their own 40. Texas had no timeouts and was down 2 scores. Punt and make us drive the whole field, onside and score again in under 2 minutes.

Whats strange is when OU and GA played in Rose bowl, it was L. Riley who squib kicked right before half. OU was up by 17 and this gave good FP to GA who kicked a FG and gave them hope in what was turning into a blowout.

Kirby was there in that game and took advantage of it. So why did he do that same type play after halftime last night? He had little to gain vs so much to lose. I was shocked he tried it. His defense was playing great. Too much downside for the risk
