Interesting trivia: UTrans hasn’t won a home game against a top 5 team in 25 years.

They have a chance to change that this weekend…so this is huge for them

Unrelated, A&M has done this 4 times in the last decade alone

If Texas wins on Saturday, we'll have more College Game Day wins in 1 season than A&M does in history!

Says more about SoS in the Big 12 with a neutral site RRS rivalry game than anything else.

It's going to be a great game. Best coaching and talent match up of the year.

How many home games against a top 5 team have they had there though, especially considering that Oklahoma is a neutral site game? They'll have many more opportunities with an SEC schedule.

Feels weird having you say this after creating a thread like this.

In what way? Winning against a high ranked team at home which they haven’t done in a quarter century is not the same as being on a tv show, one is something to celebrate

Uh...

For all of their fallacious statements, this is not one of them.

But numbers would be numbers.....how many top 5 teams did they play? It's interesting.

2006 - #1 Ohio State - finished #2

2014 - #3 TCU - finished #3

2019 - #5 LSU - finished #1

2021 - #1 Alabama - finished #2

2022 - #4 TCU - finished #2

While your stat is true, saying 25 years is pretty fricking stupid..

0-3 in the last 5 years
0-5 in the last 20 years

But not surprising for your kind..

So like winning a national championship? Wanna go ahead and tally up A&M's national championships in the last 25 years? 50 years? 80 years?

well the only team we ever played in the top 5 in the Big 12 was OU and that's a neutral game so there's one reason.
2nd reason is, and I'm pretty sure you've noticed, until last year we've been fricking terrible since 2009.

74-72 was an amazing game, one that goes down in history. It deserves a cup.
