Dawgs, are y’all expecting Wilson & Ratledge to start? We could really use Derek Williams Jr, some young DBs will have to step up.

I do not have any inside information but from what I have heard on talk radio and other forums Ratledge won't play. Would that he could but most likely not. Sorely need depth on the O-Line.

Not sure about Wilson.

Ratledge had tightrope surgery. He won’t be back for another couple weeks and won’t be healed until he’s playing NFL games next year.

Sounds like Wilson and Hall are a go, but not Ratledge.

Nevermind.. I guess he wasn't on the report last week either. I was talking about..

Mykel Williams, LB

But it appears he isn't having a great year so far..

Rutledge isn't playing for several more weeks. Wilson will probably play

Derrick Williams is going to be a huge loss for Texas.

"huge" is a bit much but yes, he will be missed. we'll see how good our depth is soon.

He’s been pretty good. He’s just been hurt. Was great against Clemson.

Looking at Georgia's roster..

They have 9 Texans on the team. I don't know if all are on scholarship as I don't recognize some of the names, but that seems like a lot. Perhaps that is why Texas is recruiting Georgia so hard this year.

Earnest Greene, III - I remember recruiting this beast. Flood really wanted him. I know he had a good year last year.. I thought he was a guard though.. he is playing LT now? Is he gonna leave after this year?

Justin Williams - this dude is 4th string at MLB? Wow. That speaks to your linebacker depth. Has he played at all? Impressions?

Julian Humphrey - starting CB from Texas. I don't remember his name in recruiting though. Is he good?

Xavier Truss - Starting RT. I met this dude last year. Huge human being and super nice guy.

Much like Texas, you have a shitload of depth on your roster. I think this comes down to execution and QB play. They are all still young, so emotions will play a role as well. Georgia has played in a lot of games like this, and that will help them. Texas is at home, that should help them, but sometimes that extra pressure goes the other way. Sometimes, it is actually easier to play on the road as the dog.

I'm so ready for Saturday.

He honestly hasn't played much this year. He had a hamstring issue for 2-3 weeks, and then he got hurt on the opening kickoff of the 2nd half against OU. Either way, we have already adjusted to playing without him.

He is good though.. and he would have helped in this game.. but I wouldn't call it huge.

Thanks for the clarification. I’d hate for Texas to be confused with such an embarrassing and overrated program

Getting Wilson back is the biggest piece IMO. Helps with run game, but he hasn’t played in 2 weeks and that could factor into communications on the line.

He’s played some. Chris Cole is ahead of him right now.

regressed this year. Not playing well.

Soft on press. Not playing very physical but none of secondary is. Coach will be fired at year end.

did he play G or T last year?

The biggest thing I noticed in the 1st half against Bama was how slow Georgia looked. I didn't know if Bama was just that fast, or if Georgia was just slow.. but it was noticeable. For whatever reason, I didn't see it in the 2nd half. I know Kirby made adjustments, but did he also substitute faster guys into the lineup?

He played tackle.

I believe overall UGA is faster this year than it was in 22 or 23, speed isn’t the issue.

What we gained in speed with lost in play recognition/reaction with our LBs. not great. DL is about the same maybe a little better than last year. But to my point above we miss Boom.

I can relate to that problem.. dude was a great DC for us..

But good for him for taking a step back to go see his son play at Vanderbilt..
