I have a solution.

Let him keep whatever NIL he's earned.

Let him keep his academic scholarship so he can finish his degree.

He's never been in trouble, works hard, etc, damn good dog.

But he doesn't get to play anymore.

Viola! No more Arian Smith problem.

The problem I think is that the reason he gets balls thrown to him, specifically down field, is because he is maybe the only WR on the team that can create separation consistently.

It's not his fault they are trying to turn him into a more complete WR. That anger should be directed at Kirby. He is in charge of the roster. No freshman WR are making an impact and the two transfers we needed to produce this year arent going to be playing anymore.

With a better WR room, Arian is doing what he always has and that's catching deep balls a handful of times a year.

Was hoping for more from Lovett. He seems twitchy, but he and Beck never seem to be on the same page unless it is an underneath route for like 8 yards.

I’d rather throw a contested ball to Bell than throw it to Smith with anything less than 5 steps of separation.

Pretty much this.
We lost McConkey and Bowers and have not replaced them with equally talented receivers.
Bell is our best receiver and likely won't be on the team next season.
We haven't recruited at a high level at receiver probably do to the nature of our offense which has a reputation for run first out of 2 TE sets.
The problem with this is our OL is not great at run blocking and we really don't have a game breaking RB and none of our TEs are close to being as good as Bowers.
My solution: Replace Bobo with an OC who has an innovative offense and can attract 5 star receivers like with see Alabama reeling in.

With Kirby's usual solid defense and a talented dual-threat QB in a more dynamic offense, we could win another NC in the next 5 years.

I hear ya. I guess that is a Beck/Bobo issue in regards to who is first read.

In order to attract 5* receivers (or OTs), the unfortunate reality is that UGA is going to have to pay. Offense style isn’t really the issue.

I don't think that's the issue, I think Kirby has been hesitant to pay for those types out of high school because of the issues it may cause in the locker room as far as pocket watching goes.

I think the Jeremiah Smith guy got 1 million+ from OSU. But with that said, paying for folks in the transfer portal hasn't been working either.

It’s more of a philosophy issue regarding NIL and absolutely it’s about scheme. 5 star WR want to be featured for 3 years and sail off to the NFL. That doesn’t happen here.

I think he got 1.5 from OSU while we offered 0.5.

We just cant compete for those kind of guys.

The $$ isn't everything. Need to put more WRs into the NFL like we do defensive players and they'll come.

The problem is the whole 5* thi is, we they work out, they really work out. When they don't, you spent 6-7 figures for nothing.

At least the nfl has college careers to look at.

Every wr has drops, ALL OF THEM! Even Ryan Williams had drops yesterday and last week. Smith average 1 drop every two games. But he is a consistant big play wr. And that ain't a problem.

You folks act like Kirby has run this program into the ground. You are witnessing the greatest era of UGA football, and you want to gripe.

Very thankful for Kirby and this era. Being able to watch my favorite team win two championships and enjoy it with my brother and dad has been incredible.

That doesn't mean I will never bitch and moan online about him or the team.
