They ran a coach out of town who had one bad year yet took them to 3 straight NY6 bowls before that. Then Napier was hired, and UF fan forums were talking so much shite about other teams while propping him up like he was the messiah who would save their program.

Y’all got exactly what you wanted.

Now, let us sit back, relax, and pull up some stats…

In the last 2 seasons under Napier, UF has been:
2-12 overall against AP top 25 teams
0-5 in away games against AP top 25 teams
14-16 overall record under Napier
7-12 overall SEC record

Dan had 2 back to back bad years and was clearly on the down spiral.

Dan was a good recruiter but couldn’t get his teams to be big boys.

What? Dan wasn’t a good recruiter at all unless I’ve blocked that time period out completely like I’m about to do with the Napier timeline.

Using OP's logic, Aggy shouldn't have fired Sumlin because Jimbo was worse

In fairness …

Texas A&M “fans” weren’t responsible for that failgasm; our outgoing Chancellor (and embarrassing quote machine), John Sharp, was.

Many of us died a little inside at that gesture.

Then why did you guys hire a dude who had literally no coaching experience at P5? Napier will go down as one the biggest coaching busts to have ever occurred at a P5 powerhouse football school.

Because our administration is full of retards.

Dan was a bad hire. Napier was a terrible hire.

It was right to fire Dan, but hiring Napier was really stupid, especially with how Mullen sucked all the life from the program in his last year. They really should have at least gone for a big splash name, even though those aren't guaranteed to work out.

Nah, I think the whole jimbo being hired and jimbo being fired is a bigger bust. ESPN’s 30 for 30 worthy.

A least we didn’t give Mullen $75 million to leave.

Mullen himself was a pretty stupid hire on the front end.

The guy was a 6-7 win a year coach.

If anything, Florida messed up not giving Mac another year after winning the east twice in a row.

For the record, I don't think Macelwain was the long term answer. But if he had one year to prove it after a down year, they would've at least had time to find a decent replacement.

Instead they had a rushed coach search and ended up with that cancer to programs known as Dan Mullen, which pretty much set the program back a decade.

Yeah I agree that Jimbo was trash. Not discounting that at all.

Thank you for parroting UAA talking points like a moron Aggy

Dan quit on the team after getting rejected by NFL, he fired himself in a way where he could keep the buyout
