Just got back from the game. Can't blame the crowd on this one.

So you think Kirby was wrong about the crowd noise last week? Crowd noise is always helpful, so was Kirby wrong to ask for more? If it was better this week, maybe it made a small difference.

Kirby pointed out in pre-season that we were sorely lacking in experience on the depth chart. We've had multiple starter injuries and some disciplinary attrition since then. Kirby's working hard to coach this team up and asking the fans for help. If the crowd helped this week, "Thanks, Kirby" might be more appropriate than "Sorry, Kirby".

I must have missed where he blamed the fans. I saw where he asked for more noise, but what did he blame them for? Every coach wants a home field advantage and that's what he wants too. Not blame, just a statement of fact and request for the fans to have an impact in Sanford stadium.

He should not have said this, imo.

Like Kirby, Georgia fans have proven themselves. From South Bend Indiana to the Deep South, Georgia fans have proven themselves.

To say he is 'disappointed' in one of the best fan bases in sports, was a mistake.

Just my opinion.

I guess it's a two way street. If the fans are gonna endlessly bitch about the team and coaches, why shouldn't Kirby point out that the fans have fallen off in helping the team.

Here's my opinion. Kirby's dealing with new challenges in the NIL/transfer portal era, but I see no evidence that his dedication or work ethic have declined. However, I do see evidence that some of our fans have developed an attitude of extreme entitlement. They expect a Bama style dynasty, like it's their birthright.

We play Auburn at home, the fans show up, sit on their hands, and then get on the internet and make sarcastic comments when the coach points it out. Good luck with that attitude, because the players and coaches notice and they're not inspired by your cynicism. Or maybe that's what you're hoping for?

The in-stadium DJ was a buzzkill. That was my first game in about 2 years and the DJ never had free reign like he does this season. At one point the DJ played a song immediately after 4 consecutive plays and didn't stop until Mississippi State got under center.

It was in Section 107. The student section wasn't even feeling the DJ, and the band worked way better getting the students into it.

shite's not working. Fire tthe DJ.

Kirby has 2 natties…. He can tell the count nation to lick each other’s bloody holes of he wants. In fact, I hope he does.

How about tell Kirby to worry more about alternatives to Arian Smith as WR 1

Holy moly get over yourself lol

We bitched about him and his team in the middle of a back to back natty run. Kirby is well within his rights to call us out when he feels it is warranted.

I think they expect to win every game, every year, in a blowout. It's unacceptable to have to fight for victories, heaven forbid actually lose. If some of these internet experts had their way, Kirby would be on the "hot seat" right now. They've dissected his performance and found it lacking. How dare he ask for more crowd noise!

Dude has two Natties and has UGA in the very top tier of college football, but he is not up to your standards. Maybe, just maybe, he isn’t the one with issues.

This is the dumbest attempt at a gotcha, I don't get it.

Crowd last week sucked arse. Kirby pointed that out and asked them to improve.
Crowd was much better yesterday.

End of story, everyone wins. Trying to somehow turn having a good atmosphere as a minor ribbing at Kirby just flat out doesn't even make sense. Like..youre "apologizing" for doing exactly what he asked lol

Crowd was better today.

The circumstances of this game also different:

Less storm issues
Time passed after Bama (and their Vandy loss)
Less humid and cooler

I would seriously find a new hobby if I were some of these people.

My Psychology Professor said they were projecting their own shortcomings and failures in life onto something they couldn’t inevitably control. That way the blame could be shifted or something. I forgot what she called it. This was in the 1980s when a few of us asked her, in class, about random students and grown men (to us at the time) would come up to us in restaurants, etc and tell us what we were doing wrong. They clearly didn’t have a clue in most cases, yet, they said the stupidest shite with such conviction and confidence that they knew and we didn’t. It falls somewhere between bizarre and sad.
