That was the disparity in time of possession. Everyone is blaming Womack, and the defense was awful, but why stick with just the passing game when we’re already getting killed in time of possession and you have a running back that averaged 9 yards a carry with 2 touchdowns on only 5 carries ?
When your defense is struggling to get off the field on 3rd down, you’ve got to attempt to give them a little rest. We either scored quickly or went 3 and out.

If you were watching, we struggled running the ball today as well. Our run schemes are horrendous. Backs not hitting the holes. It was a shitshow all around today

Huh?

Am I the only one who thought they couldn’t stop us through the air? I’m even more confident we’re golden in some of these bigger games.

Why didn’t we just hammer them through the air?

5 carries for 45 yards and 2 touchdowns.
I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that was struggling.

We passed 75% of the time. Also turned the ball over twice while passing.

We scored quickly on 2 drives and it was needed. I had zero problems with offense today. This was nearly all on defense. Pritchet crapped the bed once and that was enough. Bama forced what one punt the second half. DeBoer should have been all over Womack’s arse on the sideline.

What’s your point?

One was a fluke.

Both were KINDA flukes.

A defensive end that knows the offense is going to pass is a lot more likely to get a sack vs an offense with balance. I didnt think I would have to explain that, but here we are

Yeah

I still don’t know what your point is.

I had zero problems with the execution of the plays that were called. I have a huge problem with only giving a RB 5 carries that was averaging 9 yards a pop and had 2 touchdowns. Every Saban team had balance on offense. This team has a great backfield and a huge offensive line and we call a Charmin soft passing game that consistently puts a struggling defense right back on the field.

The only time running the ball more would've helped BAMA win was the drive that Milroe fumbled.
But it's hard to forecast turnovers. Running the ball would've rested the D and given BAMA the lead as they were only down 5 had the been able to score.

Coulda Woulda Shoulda.

Yeah we should probably just play 5 wide and move Jam and Justice over to linebacker the rest of the season. What am I thinking? Run the ball? Crazy talk right?

Zero? They turned the ball over twice which led to 14 pts and the D had no way to stop 7 of them

I think the point to be made is. Vandy ran it down Bamas throat a nd relegated our offense to the bench when the def is struggling, putting them right back on the field is only leading to more struggles
I do believe a power run game sets the mindset for the entire 22 but that Bama D is ..dull

We lost to Vanderbilt. Give me a break, I’ve never experienced this. Apparently we lost to them when I was 4, but I don’t remember how I handled it back then. Probably better than how I’m handling it now

It's not as bad as losing to ULM but not as good as losing to Tenner.

You'll be fine.

Take heart:

USC ain't shite
Mizzou ain't shite
Tenner ain't shite

Those are BAMA's next three opponents.

While that is true Bama has proven they can beat most anyone but they have also proven they can lose to a number of teams. I’m not one of the ones saying Bama will lose 5 games but they can’t expect to just walk in and win based off of talent even against bad P5 teams
