This storm is going to tear through GA so I hope it calms down as it comes through. In SC we’re on the fringe and expect some wind and rain but hopefully not too bad unless a band throws us some trouble.

Stay frosty and keep that weather radio primed!

An outer band threw up a tornado warning in SC about 20 minutes ago.

Luckily those are further south. Going to be a long night and morning.

Center of the storm came through the CSRA. Power out in most of the area. Winds 50+ with gust in the 80s. Woke me up around 5 EST. Just now calming back down.

Scary stuff.

Models fricked up. Waycross and SEGA got hammered cause it never pivoted north after landfall. They got the east side of the eye wall. Loads of trees down and power off.

Lawrenceville is good. Surprised to wake up with power

Our freaking power went out at 5:30. Lots of outages between Augusta and Cola.

I’m in the upstate. Been pouring all morning with 35 sustained winds… 50+ gusts. We’re getting fricked without lube. Excepted power outages expected to be 250k plus.

Helene tracked up I-75. Here in Albany there was no damage. Not much wind or rain. Valdosta and Waycross got hit and suffered some damage.

In NW Athens. I still have power, no known issues. If anyone needs help cleaning up, I’m available.

Looks like it went E of I-85 along that corridor. Apparently Clemson sucks so bad that it pulled a CAT 4 hurricane 75 miles to the E of Metro Atlanta.

I am surprised tbh. Chris Justice has been wrong so many times but nailed this one. The wind here the past few hours has been impressive. I’m stressed and want it to end.

I’m in Northeast Fl in northern St. John’s county, it was pretty sporty from 10pm-2am!

Didn’t lose power, flickered multiple times. That wind kept me up, every time I would get comfortable we’d have a 10-20 second gust and my heart rate would bump 70 bpm.. on the way into work this am, multiple trees down and power outages across the area.

Hope everyone made it out safe!

I'm in southeast GA and we got hammered. Sustained 60+ mph wind and almost 100mph gust between 2 and 4 am, our county is under county wide outtage according to satellite remc. All surrounding counties are either at 100% or close to it. Also 90% of roads are non navigable at this time. Probably looking at close to a week without power. No models showed it doing what it did last night

Jeff davis. My mom lives in Ware. Haven't talked to her except one or 2 messages. Cell service has been in and out all morning. Mine just started working good.

Yeah I just got him over the phone for the first time all day. Texts have gone through but very spotty on calls.

Rulesette drove into Greenville last night to go to a wedding. She say it’s about as bad as she could imagine.
