On episode 5 now. I find myself rooting against them hard. Not many likeable people anywhere..
The head coach is a dipshit a-hole, and most players are just completely useless shits except they're good at football. Only one I liked was the center from Nevada and the 3rrd string running back that balled out. Rest are shits. Especially the QB from Florida State, Malik Henry. I see exactly why Fisher got rid of him with a quickness. I was hoping some other player would beat his arse. Dude has mental problems. And not a dad anywhere to be seen. not even one. The QB coach is weird as hell. I don't know what in the world is going on with him.. Just comes off weird. I feel sorry for the dude. He's pretty much homeless and was working for free.
The head coach is a white hood rat and acts every part of it.
Those players are given a hundred chances... and still are shits.
Maybe that's why the way they are. Too many second chances.
It's entertaining and annoying to watch.
Lots of those kids did come from some shite lives and situations though. That has to do a number on these kids.

IMO, these are the players that have gotten hurt the worst from the transfer portal rule. There's just no reason for a high D1 program to roll the dice on most of these guys now if you can get a guy who's just as good from a G5 program who doesn't have discipline or grade issues.

Good point. Creates a lot more competition to get into those schools now through the portal... Be interested to see the % of CC players who do transfer into P5. That number has had to go down dramatically since the portal and NIL crap.
But seems like usually all great players get found if they're good enough.

I only watched the first two seasons at EMCC. Heard everyone was dislikeable in the Independence CC season.

He ended up GA'ing for Lane at FAU after this. Not sure where he's at now.

It's a scripted reality show.

I have started noticing some bad acting in some of the scenes. I was wondering how much of the show is produced.
I watched the EMCC episodes a long time ago and thought about rewatching them. Can't remember if it was the same way or not.
Usually the first season of a reality show is somewhat real. Then that gets boring and they have to start adding made up drama to them.
My wife's uncle used to be a producer for Discovery. He actually produced that show Bill and Kate plus 8 and the one where the dudes find old stuff and make furniture out of it. He runs his own production company now. He was interested in the company my brother works for in Arkansas for a reality show. A big forestry company, with all the cool equipment and helicopters and stuff. Don't think his company was all that interested...
Yeah, but he talks about all the stuff they make happen in the "reality" shows.
Also, he said he couldn't stand the parents of the Bill and Kate plus 8. Said the kids were great though. Not sure that's the correct name.
