I cannot see the Networks and sponsors paying for teams who bring nothing to the table.

Vandy, it's been a good ride, but to the ACC for you.

Vandy and Miss State.

The rest we should keep, but there is no excuse for having 2 schools from Mississippi.

Vandy could probably win the ACC this year.

Anyway, I think NIL, portal, etc will kick fans in the nuts to the point this shite starts to fade off.

We'll be back to playing real college football in a decade.

I see no use for Vandy or Mississippi State.

I notice some resentment toward Missouri on this forum.

It's a true wonder that Miss St. has lasted this long. That's a true testiment to the fraternal bonds and nature of the creatures of the Old South. It's noble and honorable, like taking care of the disfigured inbred sloth-like character and keeping his water bowl clean and dog bowl full, instead of mercy killing. Good on you guys.

If you’re talking football from the SEC, then the Hogs, Rebs, UK, SC, Vandy, Mississippi State and Aggies all have had their issues over the years.

Football from the BIG would be Indiana, Northwestern, Illinois, Minnesota, Rutgers, Maryland and Purdue.

If you’re talking all-sports from the SEC, everyone excels at something. BIG, not so much and any number of schools could get the boot.

Mississippi State has more national titles in the big 3 major sports over the last 15 years than Texas does. They are better for the league

Breaking away has to do with football revenue sharing only. The other sports may remain closer to current model, but with less funding.

Vandy is the only private school. For legal cover the SEC isn't letting them go anywhere. Baseball program is just a perk

You all who talk about kicking members out non stop are dumb children. It’s never gonna happen. Quit bringing it up.

Aren’t the original members pretty much untouchable? I thought only the expansion teams could get the boot.

They’re more welcome in the SEC than the steers and queers from the state of Texas

Baseball doesn’t make a dime. Even the good schools barely make a profit and I don’t think they do after paying coaches etc.

Football and basketball are the only two sports that hold weight

If anything happened you wouldn’t have two MS schools as neither bring viewers even at their peak and haven’t won a title in either of the two revenue producing sports since colored TV.

Vandy but they bring Nashville which is the biggest hotbed in the SEC. Best town in the SEC footprint by far

Miss State is a better program overall than Ole Miss. Dropping Ole Miss would be the move

You are talking about lower Memphis right?
Mississippi is what Tennessee calls lower Memphis.
If we could only kick Memphis out of Tennessee and gift it to Mississippi they belong together.
