Every time they win a semi-important game, they act like this. It really just highlights the fact they haven't won anything meaningful since 1963...most of their fans have never seen them win anything.

They just beat the shite out of #7 when most people didn't give them a chance. They had 3 years of that idiot O. Props to them. Go SEC!!!!

I take it that you weren't in Shreveport in '95 or '97 when Tiger fans were dancing and partying on the field after the Independence Bowl victories.

Nope, I wasn't. I remembered that we had won SEC titles less than 10 years prior to this, and that those wins weren't really all that big.
I really don't have a problem with Ole Miss, or any team, celebrating a bowl win. I was just reminded of some of the comments thrown my way in Baton Rouge earlier this year when the Ole Miss faithful acted like they just won the SEC, when in fact they beat a team that had essentially quit on its season, until Miles found a way to rejuvenate them two days ago.

I was there with them acting like that in an LSU shirt (section 4 row 49). It was a great win for them and a very good win for the SEC. It helps us with the "are sec defenses that great or do they just not face good offenses?". Texas Tech was a great offense and Ole Miss held them to two drives. Tech's first two touchdowns were early gifts from the Rebels. Big XII offenses have evolved but their defenses have regressed. OU has been scoring 60 points on everyone but they will not score even 40 points on Florida. SEC defenses are good.
Ole Miss' defense is good. Ole Miss has good players and a good coach.
Tech fans were saying they should be playing a better "crew" than Ole Miss before the game. Ole Miss shut those jackasses up and ran them out of the Cotton bowl.
Be happy for them and the SEC.
