Just kind of shocking numbers at this point. I really did think LSU would get quite a bit better this year with Baker, even with some talent issues. Still might as the year progresses.

Small sample size still, but I think the defense is a little better than last season. Still not good, but improved. It's basically the same personnel as last year. Baker will need more talent to work with to see dramatic improvement.

On offense? They performed roughly the same as Carolina did offensively against UK and significantly better than USM did. On defense the same.

UGA also played Clemson and won by 31 and dominated the stat sheet.

Southern Cal has only played Utah State, and they scored 48 vs 27 against LSU and put up about 100 more yards.

USC had 447 yards on 7.5 YPP. LSU did a nice job keeping them out of the end zone (very important), but they had better success rates and yardage per play rates against LSU than they did against Utah State.

We actually get 3rd down stops and turnovers now.

Yes, the yardage and TDs given up so far are not great. However, the defensive staff from last year would have lost to Southern Cal by a lot worse than a TD with 8 seconds to go. We also lose the USCe game.

We are in a better place today with the scheme being run. Our problem is we don't have the horses to keep up just yet. That falls more on Kelly than Baker.

Makes sense - I only got to watch the extended highlights vs Carolina and didn't watch any of Nichols other than the highlights of the white kid running the wing t.

100% agree on the horses and Kelly thing - especially up front and at safety.

I have a colander under my stove that doesn’t have as many holes in it as does LSU’s run defense.

We actually scored 47 against LOLouisanna Stale University and tire emporium. They only scored 22. Go check the official record book.

Nah. Just proof that LSU's defense is bad. Very bad.

There definitely isn't enough evidence to support whatever claim you are trying to make.
