First 5 drives of the USF game (through 3 min mark 2Q)
5 drives
2 Touchdowns (3 punts)
32 plays
129 yards
14 points
4.03 Yards Per Play
25.8 Yards Per Drive
2.80 Points Per Drive
0.44 Points Per Play

Middle 5 drives of the USF game (2.5 left in 2Q to 6 min left 3Q)
5 drives
0 Touchdowns (4 punts, 1 fumbles)
14 plays
-3 yards
0 points
-0.21 Yards Per Play
-0.60 Yards Per Drive
0.00 Points Per Drive
0.00 Points Per Play

Last 5 drives of the USF game (final 4 minutes 3Q, entire 4th qtr)
5 drives
4 Touchdowns (0 punts, 1 fumble)
21 plays
249 yards
28 points
11.86 Yards Per Play
49.8 Yards Per Drive
5.60 Points Per Drive
1.33 Points Per Play

It felt like the offense was bad until the very end, but it was clunky yet ok for the first 25 minutes or so. However, it went into full blown disaster mode for the middle 9 minutes spanning the end of the 2nd quarter and the first half of the 3rd quarter. And then it kicked back into gear the last 20 minutes of the game (5 straight marches down the field, including one that ended in a turnover at the 1).

First 25 and last 20 minutes of play (3 qtrs)
10 drives
6 Touchdowns (3 punts, 1 fumble)
53 plays
378 yards
42 points
7.13 Yards Per Play
37.8 Yards Per Drive
4.20 Points Per Drive
0.79 Points Per Play

Middle 15 minutes of play (1 qtr)
5 drives
0 Touchdowns (4 punts, 1 fumbles)
14 plays
-3 yards
0 points
-0.21 Yards Per Play
-0.60 Yards Per Drive
0.00 Points Per Drive
0.00 Points Per Play

Good breakdown. We are vastly more talented than them, and that’s where we are lucky. Had this OL issue been present during UGA or UT we would have been cooked.

We would have been better to have used two TE's and H-back and just run a toss sweep and QB rollout into that bunch until they quit.

Interesting breakdown. However, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with most of this.

You're going to respectfully disagree with the actual game statistics?

Man I hope a fully healthy O-Line isn’t our white whale this year because they might end up being elite

The middle saw 2 PIs not called against USF, fumbles, and penalties. It wasn't really that the offense was that bad.

Do you know how many penalties were committed during the middle 15 minutes?

Only 1 - but it was the hold that negated the Milroe TD run.

This makes me the absolute maddest out of all of Milroe’s deficiencies. Inexcusable.

Also, tack onto that middle 1/3 a fumble on a kickoff.

That fumble took place right after I had told the entire twitter world that if we would just get KLAW the ball and get out of the way we would be just fine!

Whatever, I’ll ask. What do you recall that is so different from the stats?
