All Saints Chapel at Sewanee is magnificent. It’s the crown jewel of an amazing campus. If you’re ever in that area, it’s worth a side trip to see it.
My daughter went to Sewanee and now works there and my daughter-in-law went there. It’s a very cool place. Overflowing with unique traditions and located in an absolutely stunning location. It’s small (1600 students) and remote, so it’s not for everybody, but they both loved it!

I was down there in my youth and down there a few years ago after c19. Lots of decades in between and may be the LEAST changed campus of all former and current SEC school.
I did notice a larger Texas component of the student body but not Oklahoma.
If you want to hike or write the great American novel, this is the place for you. I do think among the students body they may have the highest per capita booze consumption.

Do you know where the old Cloister is?
Best view down there.
I have seen armadillos down there lately. WTF!

My patio a few days ago. I should have caught it and sent it to a bama fan's house. It is destroying my mulch beds.
I have a non-peta plan though.

Sewanee is in the real wilds of Tennessee
Surprised to see them at all when folks have a gun and a stew pot

the center and his quarterback - one became an NFL offensive coordinator

We turn them into "corndogs" and sell them on game days.

One of my best buds played ball down there. He passed in the late 80's.

Do the frats still wear kilts on gamedays?

Thanks for sharing. My son is a Sewanee grad. I'll share this article with him.
I believe Johnny Major's dad coached at Sewanee so Johnny would have been an informed participant in the documentary.

That is a drinking club - made up of members of multiple frats and non-frats.
Son went there and played baseball. He loved his time on the mountain. We really loved visiting Sewanee - it was just a perfect place. The parents might party harder than the students - which is hard to surpass.
As mentioned, it's not for everyone. It is very isolated - there is almost nowhere to go off campus except to the liquor store in Monteagle, or that special Sunday breakfast at The Waffle House. But if you like the outdoors and hiking (you can even deer hunt on campus), then it pretty great. Plus, class sizes are super small, so you really get to know your professors. Including eating dinner at their houses or drinking with them at the inn.
