Maybe taking a promising and talented young player and putting him into a terrible situation and then trading him away for nothing wasn't the best strategy for New England to adopt with their first round draft pick.

The way New England sabotaged their rookie QB that just played in the Pro Bowl and was runner up for Off Rookie of the Year defied explanation and was bizarre. Belichick was too busy chasing 20 year old cheerleaders.

I hope Mac gets another starting shot at some point.

Mac Jones is better than a lot of starters, such as Daniel Jones. I think he's in a good spot right now, but I wouldnt be surprised if he is starting for another team by years end. It's wild how bad Bill B derailed his 2nd and 3rd years.

What happened to him in New England was a travesty. Ive said from the beginning that Mac Jones can be as good or better than Burrow in the NFL.

Kinda like how everyone thought Tua was a total bust until Mike McDaniels showed up.

It's almost like a QB needs a good OC and WRs to throw to. Who woulda thought?

That and Belichik was determined to show everyone that it was him and not Brady who was the reason for all of New England's success. And when it was decisively proven that it was all Brady he threw Mac under the bus in desperation. Mac is better than multiple QBs currently starting. Darnold, Minshew, Carr, Wilson/Fields, Levis, Nix, Maye/Brisett, and Daniel Jones just off the top of my head.

Wild how they took a rookie Pro Bowler, refused to upgrade a bad o-line, gave him zero weapons, and then hired a defensive coordinator to call plays for him.

Burrow has had the best receiving core in the NFL for two years and everyone sucks him off.

It’s hilarious.

Tua’s rookie year he literally had all WR3s

Red and gold, baby.

Mac seemed like such a no-brainer for SF and Shanahan. He would've seamlessly transitioned from throwing to D. Smith and Waddle to Deebo, Aiyuk and Kittle. His best receiver in NE was a TE in Hunter Henry and SF's former 4th receiving option in Bourne. Worst collection of skill players in the league next to Carolina (sorry Bryce.)

Thankfully the Trey Lance experiment didn't cost SF too much with what they ended up with in Purdy. Him and Mac are just tailor made for that offense.

The weirdos on this site who feel the need to carry their hatred of Bama to the NFL did everything possible to dance around all of this.

Mac had another good outing in the 3rd preseason game, 13/18 1 td 113 yards. would have been 14/19 146 and 2 TDs but they called back a 33 yd TD pass for an illegal shift

Minnesota should give him a call, they lost JJ mccarthy for the year

Great idea. I think Mac Jones throwing to Jefferson would make a lot of LSU fans heads explode on this site, though.

Mac and Tua had virtually the same circumstance with their staff. Their coaches were basically telling them they weren't good enough to play in the NFL.

I expect a team to trade for Mac Jones by November.

Surprised the Rams aren't calling now to have a quality backup given Stetson's struggles on and off the field and Jimmy Gs suspension.
