As far as dumb moves nothing tops Muschamp saying Derrick Henry was a LB.

Best high school RB in history.

Best season in SEC history for a RB

Best RB in the NFL for the past 8 years.

But Muschamp said he would play LB at Florida.

Saban tried to talk Julio Jones into playing safety, although I don't think he was necessarily wrong about that at the time. Hard to tell exactly because of the QB situation then, but Julio didn't have the greatest of hands in his time here.

Hindsight is 20/20. Henry played in a much smaller division than most SEC athletes. I think Muschamp would've known immediately on the practice field that Henry should be RB

Nutt tried to make DMac into a safety.

NFL ALL PRO and future HOF LT Jason Peters was a TE

NFL WR Matt Jones, was a QB

NFL QB Tavaris Jackson was Jones BACKUP and almost never played

NFL All Pro SS George Wilson was slotted at WR

NFL QB Ryan Mallett, Nutt wanted him at TE.

Don't underestimate the power of stupid when it comes to Hooty Dale Nutt

CMR wanted Cam to be a TE. He probably would have been a good one to be fair.

Best as I can remember, he was committed to Georgia until the last minute.

His sophomore year at Bama, I said on this very site that Henry might become one of the best running backs of all time, and the dipshit Gumps like yourself, who think you invented football, scoffed and laughed, at your own player, because of some prideful shite that only you all can explain or admit to

Matt has stated publicly that he was alway going to play QB in college. If not here, then somewhere else. And the coaches knew that when they recruited him.

None of these facts mean that he wouldn't have been all of those things as a LB. Two things can be true at once, he could have been the best LB in the world and still accomplished those things as a RB.

Not saying I agree, just that nothing you posted means Muschamp was wrong.

Can't find the original "rumors" article from 2008 but this is based on a response follow-up from 2010
