Mine would be 2000 vs the Expos with Odallis Perez on the mound. We set first base line up near RF. I believe we stayed downtown and took the bus from underground Atlanta. Been a hardcore fan ever since.
If you’re coming from I20 coming into Atlanta you could always see Turner Field.
Nowadays we have the battery and several hotels.

Pretty much all of the early and mid 1990s. I think in 92 we went from worst to first and won the division late. That started a dominant streak not really rivaled in many sports, however, only captured the 1995 WS.
Pretty much remember Derek Jeter and the mid to late 1990's Yankees whipping us, especially 1996. I remember Chief Knock-a-homa and subsequently getting drunk and burning his teepee down.
I remember Fred "Crime Dawg" McGriff coming to ATL and on his first night, a fire broke out in the stadium.
I remember Otis Nixon and that amazing leap on the wall to rob a HR.
Unfortunately, I am currently remembering how high of expectations I had for this season too.

My first Braves game was a few weeks before this.

Chipper hitting 2 HRs in his first career playoff game in Coors Field.

A little OT maybe, but I came across this old photo I'd never seen before of Hank enjoying some down time, just an awesome pic.

Late 70s. Driving in from I-20 west side to Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. Cresting the hill around Thornton Rd and clearly seeing the Peachtree Plaza and the flying saucer topped Hyatt hotel. Those were the landmarks of the skyline from afar. Now, the flying saucer (Polaris Restaurant atop the Hyatt) is covered up by larger buildings and you can barely even get a glimpse of it when on the downtown connector if you look quickly enough and at the right time.
As far the games, they were on nightly at my house on channel 17. Guys like Biff Pocoroba, Jerry Royster, Mike Lum, Dusty Baker, Jeff Burroughs, Niekro, Murphy, Horner, Hubbard are the ones I recall the most in the later 70s. I was born in 70 so I don’t really remember much of Aaron, Rico Carty, etc..
