Texas and Tennessee should be allies

I have always liked Tennessee as a state. The very fact that their nickname is the volunteers is a reminder that they played a crucial role in the Texas Revolution. It makes no sense to me as a Texan that we should be some sort of natural enemies because of our name and colors.
Texas will remain UT in Texas, but I'm fine with Tennessee being UT in the SEC. We are good with Texas. I'd like to see our two schools be friendly in the spirit of our shared history together.
Frankly, I'm fond of much of the southeast considering thats where most of the early Texans (and my ancestors) are from.

I always knew Texas was settled by a lot of Tennesseans but never knew how much Alabama folks migrated that way
