Is he really the best choice for SEC talk show, that we got? We need someone that has played football in the conference, not someone that played a flute in the tennershe band. Pollack would be a good one to replace him with.

There it is. Nothing funnier to me than the fact McAfee AND Saban took David Pollack's job.

If you are watching Finebaum over Pate in 2024 I don't know how to help you.

Outside of his Friday SEC Network pre Gameday shows and special ones like this week, it's pretty much mainly an Alabama/Auburn show.

So you basically want it to be Pollack talking about the dawgs for 4 hours everyday.

He's non-bias when it comes to commentary. He has even slapped the Dawgs around a little. It would be better than a bama slurp fest by somebody that hasn't even put a helmet on before.

Unfortunately the morons that call in make the ratings the network wants after every weekend of games
It’s a sad look for the conference
They should have canned him years ago and now he gets a national window every week
He’s also the glue that holds sec nation together another joke

What's so funny about that? Is there a history between the three?
I am an Auburn fan and I liked Pollack

Anyone ever see his appearances on ESPN’s morning show Get Up? I only ask because Mike Greenberg calls him Paul “Finebam” instead of Finebaum.

I don’t like Finebaum at all but let’s not get carried away on Pollack.

Pollock is almost as uninformed as Tebow, in analysts roles. Both are terrible commentators.

Finebaum is the Jerry Springer of college football media. I quit watching and listening to him years ago.

Was about to make the same exact comment. I haven't watched/listened to Fireball in years b/c I don't have time to get invested in dopey call-in characters-- I'm interested in actual football information. If the "personal" angle is what people want, have at it. But to have him as the recognizable "face" of the conference's premier media outlet is a tad disappointing.
Maybe that last statement is inaccurate since I don't follow the media as much anymore. If not him, who is the most popular SEC media figure?

Finebaum looks like Mr Garrison in real life.
