Does Texas or Oklahoma know what is happening?

They've never faced competition week in and week out like they will see now. Their fans don't really like football like fans of SEC teams do. Many of them on this very site have said that they will never chant SEC-SEC-SEC because football is just a sideline diversion for them and means very little in the whole scheme of things and they aren't excited to be here anyway.
For all of us, football is all there is to life and nothing else matters. Texas and Oklahoma fans are much more sophisticated and better educated than many of us dumb Southerners and have other things to do because they live in cosmopolitan areas with many leisure options.
They have never played weaker teams like Arkansas and LSU and Missouri who can beat you when you aren't expecting it. They are used to cupcakes like Baylor, TCU, Kansas State, and Cincinnati.
Every team can beat you in the SEC, even the bad ones. Are they ready for the constant grind that the SEC will consistently provide them?
I predict both programs to take a major hit in prestige over the next few seasons; they just don't have the spirit for the SEC and their fans don't know what is happening yet.

Can't wait to play those teams that lost to New Mexico State and BYU at home.
I guess anything before 2010 never happened?

It's just that teams like Arkie, LSU, and Missouri can beat you on any given day and there just have never been teams like that in the Big 12.
I'm not trying to insult either fanbase; football is just more important in the South.

You mean like playing
#11 Texas then the next week playing
#2 Kansas State then the next week playing
#1 Nebraska then two weeks later playing
#23 Texas A&M then the next week playing
Mike Leech Texas Tech Team then the next week playing
OSU Team then the next week playing
#8 Kansas State again then playing
#2 Florida State.

I don't know when that schedule happened but, most all of those teams are or were in the Big 12. They didn't have true rankings. Their rankings were gained by playing weak teams that just made them look good. That's my whole point.
The Big 12 was all buckle and no belt; all socks and no boots. A lowly never-has-been like auburn can beat you in the SEC even if your team has a non-artificial high ranking.

Who you calling weak? LSU has won 3 national championships since 2000 and could very well be a contender this year. frick off and stop posting dumb shite.

Save your superlatives for when it actually happens. You got your shot at the Tide when we were clueless on how to set Jalen Milroe free. Even then BAMA had 2 TDs called back that would have won the game for us. This was nowhere close to the same BAMA team that beat Georgia, won the SEC, and made the playoffs.
You guys sound just like TAMU, who tried to make a living off of beating BAMA in 2012 at Tuscaloosa. That BAMA team won the NC.

Also: do you know what the word “superlative” means? I… I don’t think you do
Texas was literally ranked higher in strength of schedule than everyone in the sec other than LSU and the team Texas made their bitch on the road. It’s literally statistics: LINK

No they can't. I did the math.
Since and including 2006...
The SEC champ is 135-11 against the rest of the league in regular season SEC games. That is a winning percentage of 92.4%.
Only one time...(in 2007) did the SEC champ lose even as many as two games.
Furthermore, in those eighteen seasons... the SEC runner up went 7-1 in the regular season thirteen times. In only five seasons did the runner up lose more than one game.
So just like in any other league... The best teams in the SEC are better than all the "other teams"... and the "other teams" all beat each other "on any given day".
Finally, the best teams basically consist of two or three of the following...Bama pretty much the entire time... with Georgia, LSU and occasionally Auburn getting turns at the top... and Florida once upon a time.

That measly measuring stick is standard operating procedure for ALABAMA. We were in the same playoff and came within a play of the NC. You mostly compare to that TAMU team in the way you run your mouth about one game. And BAMA beat you in Austin the year before, who gives a crap in BAMA Land. How many times has any BAMA fan brought that shite up?
The game of the year for us was playing and beating a great Georgia team on the edge of winning 3 straight NCs and winning 30 straight games.
Do you continue to read thread after thread, by BAMA fans, bragging endlessly about that achievement?
So you're 1-1 after 2 years. Big shite, it gets a lot harder from here on out shorthorn.

Arkansas beat BYU 52-31 at Provo the year before, FYI.
Oklahoma fans are quickly becoming just as arrogant as Texass fans in thinking they’re gonna run the SEC. They’re in for a rude awakening and I’m here for it.

The 2 most common posts on this board are:
#1 Texas can't handle an SEC schedule
#2 Texas was given an easy SEC schedule
Which is it?

Surprised no one clued you in yet.
That was the 2000 season and Oklahoma won all of those games. The stretch of games against saxet, K-State and nebbish is referred to by Sooners as Red October.
