4x100m 6A Men forward to 2:35 mark
I'm a huge fan of track and field in general but this year we had multiple schools running in the 39s range for the 4x100m 6A men. Earlier in the year Atascocita 38.92 shattered the long standing record from of Forth Worth Wyatt 39.76 in 1997.
I know that Jelani Watkins, Atascocita and Caden Durham, Duncanville are both going to be LSU Tigers in the fall and just wanted to congratulate you guys on having some burners in track and football for the upcoming year.

Yep. Texas high school track and field has always had some of the top times going back to the 1980's when I was in high school.
I remember when a kid, Roy Martin, ran a blazing 10.13 100m dash in the mid 80's. That was mind blowing back then.

They are so fast as long as they get the handoffs through they will not lose to anyone.

Got DANG.
Could be wrong, but it seemed like the lead off guy was the weak link. If he gets a leg like the other dudes, they might break 39.0.

Fellow track & field nerd here. That’s insane. I coached HS track back in the early 2000s. A 42-43 usually wins state in the top division. Alabama HS state record is 40:74.

Thanks for posting. We've had some of those guys over the years, but it doesn't always translate to the football field. I guess we'll see.

First leg was the weak link. Anchor was great, but that 3rd leg on the curve really closed the gap. He was smoking it on the curve.

6A finals were insane. Katy Tompkins ran 39.85 and didn’t make the podium. CRAZY!!!

I saw Jelani Watkins play for Klein Forest a couple of years ago before he transferred to Atascocita.. the dude is fast, but I'm not sure it translates onto the football field. The QB was average at best though, so maybe that will help him at the next level.

Duncanville handoff to final leg was a bit slow. End would have been closer.
