There are like 5 people on this board who really watch and know the softball program. The rest just come out and repeat the same shite whenever someone makes a thread about LSU losing. They have absolutely no clue what they are talking about, just like you, otherwise you wouldn't have started this thread.

Don't know if Bleak is the right work... Losing a ton of senior offenseive production, but you've got 2 really good classes that one would hope will fill in those departures. Same for defense; 5/9 starters moving on. Replacing Pitching staff pretty much remains with Berzon and Chaffin. A handful of other Sophomore pitchers that hopefully develop into producers.

The real key is going to be how much the offense is able to develop in offseason. Coffey returns (had .404 avg before injury), and I think she'll be a huge part of the emotional leadership

Earlier in the year I would have said it was going to be tough to replace so much offensive production, but the reality is that the Seniors haven’t really produced much down the stretch. If Heavener can adapt quickly to the college game, she and Berzon may be able to win a lot of games for LSU like the one today. A lot of youngsters were forced into action due to Coffey’s injury that could speed up their development. I don’t expect much offensively, but there’s not far to fall from the last month+.

Unless Woodward throws Big$$$$$$$Bucks at Patty Gasso or Mike White, (Like he did with Mulkey) to make the Room Mate Switch, Oklahoma and Texas will dominate SEC Softball for many years to come.

This was supposed to be "the year" with all the 5th year senior talent all coming back, relatively favorable conference schedule, etc. Bringing in new blood coach who was supposedly an offensive guru. They finished .500 in the league losing all but 2 conference series including 2 at home to two of the bottom teams. They finished as the #8 seed. Beth took over a top conference program that consistently finished in the top 2-3 in league play, she has not finished in the top 5 in over five years meanwhile we've seen other programs improve (i.e. Arkansas and State). The SEC Network pre SEC tournament show analyzing how LSU & Bama, 2 of the most successful programs in history are the #8 and #9 seed this year. The reason offensive production. The post game show after our game yesterday, they talked about how LSU hitters are passive and seem to hope to draw a walk and seem to have little game situation awareness. Not a great assessment of the state of a program and the future. But, Beth is such a nice person.

Until Beth is replaced, it will always be bleak. It's the same thing year, after year, after year.
