College football is still 10 years away from peaking. This is awesome. The sport has always been weird and people have always bitched about players getting paid.

For years I planned my fall Saturdays in the fall. I would start every Saturday morning with an old-fashioned (Papy Van Winkle 15 year) in the parlor, surrounded by rich mahogany and many leatherbound books. But those days are gone. I no longer recognize the game I once loved. Now it's mostly dove hunting in New Mexico or enjoying the vibrant foliage of the Vermont mountains after a week in the city. frick college football.
