He has already lost the starting QB job at South Carolina to a 3 star scrub. Come on in here Jville.
Let's muck up this thread and talk about Ashford, Thorn Porne, and the Nixes for old-times sake.

He couldn't make the correct reads and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. No surprise

Can you imagine having to split Qb1 time in practice, have two separate game plans, two separate blocking schemes and have to share playing time with him? That would frick up anyone's game no?

Especially with mid talent surrounding him.

Below average Thorne wouldn’t even received a P5 offer if he hit the portal right now.

Which is going to make those 23 TDs so sweet this season.

No surprise since he’s really a strong safety and not a QB.

He’s too far down the “I am a QB” rabbit hole. A transfer stint at Jax State/Troy/South Alabama in on the way…

I feel like he would thrive in a Percy Harvin role.

If you put him at WR, he would fumble the game away. You put him at SS, he would blow a coverage and give up the game winning TD.

Give up brother. Logic doesn't work with these dudes. I don't think they even liked or believed Ashford was a good (QB) they just at this point believe that anything is better than Thorne, Ashford included. I brought up his numbers at Michigan St- they said it was years ago with him surrounded with NFL talent so it doesn't count. I said he'll now be surrounded with NFL talent at Auburn and more capable play calling- they disagreed and said even with this Peyton is the worst QB in Auburn history. We all mentioned the receivers (most notably the transfers) contributing ABSOLUTELY nothing- they said no matter how good Keith Adams and.Cam Coleman are, Thorne will fail. No statistic, season comparison, or past performance by Thorne will change their mind. Hell, even if Thorne succeeds they'll credit everything and everyone else BUT him.

Absolute facts right above

So this is the 3rd school that Bobby Ashford can't win a starting job

Correct and 5 different coaching staffs
Posted on 5/7/24 at 11:33 am to CorchJay
Ashford should take a hint by now

Funny how when his stats, back to back losing seasons at 2 different schools, losing his starting job at MSU, etc. are brought up to show how he is in fact a terrible QB, the Throne lovers minds aren’t changed either.
