Is the Bama NIL collective in bad shape?

Not panicking but I’m concerned when we have guys in the portal canceling visiting us to go to places like Ole Miss.
Then I remember reading an article last year a 4 star recruit’s parents reportedly telling Kevin Steele, “Coach, we love Bama but you guys aren’t in the same ball park in terms of NIL money as these other schools.”.
I hope that’s not true but what if it is? What if we’re now on par with Georgia Tech or South Carolina in terms of NIL money?
Before anyone loses it, I think it’s a pretty legit question.

We have a new unproven coach in the SEC, following the greatest coach and run in CFB history. How about we see what he does until we think we’re dropping to USCe and Tech levels.
I’m optimistic…. and I was on campus for Mike Price and Shula, I know embarrassment and losses. At the of the day… we’re still not Auburn.

Our NIL isn’t where we need it to be, that’s not a great mystery. Saban made up for it for awhile because guys wanted to play for him, that also created some complacency in building our NIL program. That’s being corrected but it doesn’t happen overnight.
We also are not Georgia Tech. Come on.

No, our NIL is not on par with South Carolina or Georgia Tech. Stop letting rantards gaslight you, you dope!
You gotta accept that every year there will be one or two programs that will be ponying up frick You money at prospects because some donors were sold that this team is championship quality with your considerable investment. When it doesn't happen, the money dries up. If it does happen, the donor probably isn't going to deplete their kid's trust fund to field a football team on a yearly basis. Regardless, it won't happen forever.
Alabama's big money donors don't feel that pressure and they aren't throwing good money at bad like Aggy in 2022 and Bux and Piss in 2024.

Everyone worried about NiL…are you helping? We have a far reaching and national fan base. Everyone sign up for the collective. Lowest tier is $18 a month. You spend more than that on one trip to Wendy’s.

We are in good shape. We don’t have the most but we aren’t poor by any means. I’ve been part of a few campaigns.
You have to remember you have to be incredibly strategic about how much you burn on new recruits and retaining your current team. We found out really fast that if you don’t have a sustainable/bonus fund the kids will leave.

Revenue sharing, Saban’s plan and recommendation, will be here in a couple of years, and that will ease reliance on collectives. Of course boosters will still boost, as in the “keep it down home Cuz” days at Auburn, but the revenue sharing plan brings requirements for players- just like professional contracts.
