no shock here.. this had OU written all over it from the beginning.. they got him to enter the portal and they got first visit..

On this visit, they told him that they would match his best offer..

So he explored his offers from all schools..

then went back to OU.. and the deal was done when they matched it..

I wish his approach had been different.. we could have used his talent.. but this kid turned out to be exactly what Texas didn’t need this year..

Sounds like a good fit/miss for all schools involved.. OU got a good one.

I agree, although don't get me wrong, I wanted him. He's a helluva player. But, I don't know that he would justify the asking price.

If he would have picked Mizzou it would have been more of a symbolic victory, going up against the other three schools.

Enjoy this perspective as follows, rumors is that Mizzou got a heads up tip that it was between LSU and OU yet the kids agent/ whatever was on the phone with Mizzou as well...(supposedly trusted tip) trying to drive up the price. Well, Mizzou played along..then it was just Mizzou and OU..and then it was on...with Mizzou jumping off the teeter totter with the paper clips paying an exorbitant price & over inflated price.

Dude wanted more than Luther ¯\_(?)_/¯ ? ... not sure what the results will be come fall..but knowing those selfish types lead to divided locker rooms does give me solace.

Full disclosure, I think everyone of these players should get every penny they can earn. But, have some perspective. Every other kid in the Ou locker room will know what he got,
& there will be some issues, cause this number was insane.
