Indeed without some help from the injury bug there's a very good chance Georgia and Kirby Smart will have never beaten Alabama. At ALL.

An argument could be made both ways. Georgia’s best pass rusher got hurt in the 2018 SEC championship and he was wreaking havoc on Bama’s o line. He went out and Georgia stopped producing a pass rush almost instantly.

Their 1st round OL this year also missed the majority of SEC championship and Bama won by 3 points and controlled the line of scrimmage.

Arguing injuries between two teams that recruit at the highest level (and it’s not even really close) is a sad and pathetic existence that ends up in a carousel of excuses and what ifs. The game is built off of depth. If you don’t have the depth to overcome injuries, you still lose despite some misguided validation fans seem to love to espouse to validate their self esteem.
