How would the US be different if women were never allowed to vote?

The US was one of the first democracies to enact full suffrage in 1920 with other democracies following such as the UK in 1928, France in 1944, etc.

So, the right to vote for women was not an assumed right for centuries in many geographies. And, one could argue the US either led the way, or, implicitly pressured other countries…depending on viewpoint.

In hindsight, how did political history change as a result? Would abortion be such a political lighting rod blinding over half of the electorate to other issues such as taxes, immigration, national security, etc.?

Even socially, did granting suffrage embolden women and others to push for additional “equal rights” leading to the women’s lib movement of the 1960s, latchkey kids of the 1970s/1980s?

Even today, how would Trump vs Biden look if suburban women weren’t a major voting block as was the case for most of history?

Interesting to contemplate.

I’m way more interested in how different it would be if men were never allowed to vote.

This country would be much better off

Women should also be raising their children not dropping them off at daycare for 10 hrs a day so some fat woman can watch them.

Women were meant for pleasure and birthin babies. And cooking warm meals every evening of course.

Of course I’m only kidding. Or am I……??

The problem is men treat women like some object of worship today. There is nothing to keep them sane.

I know some great, strong independent women. They've avoided the simp traps.

Desperate, idiotic dudes treating women like princess is the problem.

That’s not the answer. The answer is you have to pay federal income taxes to be eligible to vote. If you don’t or receive income assistance prior to 65 you don’t the privilege.

This country would be way better off.

Women are good at two things - cooking and taking care of babies. That’s it. They belong absolutely nowhere near a voting booth.

This entire thread is exhibit A in why conservatives get their asses kicked in regards to attracting women to the party.

Go on and explain exactly what was better before women voted?

Because I can't think of one objective or logical measure where it isn't.

Do you have to ask your wife for your own money or permission to watch sports?

Imagine how different it would be if only male landowners were allowed to vote?

Instead of beating around the bush why don’t you go ahead and admit you’re against women having any rights?

I’m sure #Cult45 will give you a ton of upvotes!

You people are nuts

It's not just voting, it's also holding positions of authority, and influencing the men that hold positions of authority.

LBJ would have probably lost to Goldwater because those 'He's gonna start a nuclear war!' ads didn't scare the male voters. If LBJ had lost we wouldn't have the welfare system of The Great Society program.

We would be living like the Jetsons if women would be able to vote.

I flat out told women family members at a gathering, including the wife and daughter, that women shouldn't be allowed to vote. I got a little push back from some of them because they let me know they voted Trump. So I told them ok, I'll give y'all a 1/4 vote

If women would stop being whores then abortion wouldn’t turn into the main issue destroying this country.
