The thing about this one that makes it different is that Cal clearly left because things were getting hot at Kentucky. Saban and Spurrier left totally on their own accord to try the professional level then came back relatively quickly and found a new spot.

What about Lincoln Riley going from Oklahoma to USC? Probably more "even" than Kentucky to Arkansas, but less "getting out of a hot seat" situation than this one.

Richt was technically fired at Georgia, but Georgia to Miami?

I' had thought about Riley too. But, as you said, it was a fairly lateral move involving schools with a fairly similarr recent history.

Curry left for UK. Curry never had the huge success at Bama he would have liked. Maybe a brick or two helped him decide.

Bill Curry winning the SEC, going to the Sugar Bowl, and immediately leaving Alabama for Kentucky.

Kentucky thought they pulled off an amazing coup by stealing the coach of a blue blood. Alabama was grateful they got bailed and didn’t have to fire a guy that was fairly successful but not to the standards of a blue blood.

I expect it will work out, at least for Arkansas, the same way Curry worked out for Kentucky.

Kelly did in his first year what Jimbo couldn't do in 6 years and Kelly took over a fricking disaster.

I'm sure you can do better. This was just lazy.

Not SEC, but here’s the football equivalent of how it’s going to end up:

Deon Sanders from JSU to Colorado.
