The one he's responding to just hates Kentucky. That's all that is.

Both things can be true:

- Because of Cal's last 5 years, he lost a lot of goodwill at Kentucky. He had the opportunity to win that back and lost to Oakland. At that point it became impossible for him to go forward at Kentucky. So Kentucky fans are good with the mutual parting of ways (especially when it saves us a shitton of buyout money).

- Arkansas was put in a weird spot with Muss leaving when he did. And this is the best possible hire they could make. Cal may be alright with a new scene and new situation.

I'm like you, it works out for both of us. Anyone spinning some idiot narrative that Kentucky doesn't have the money is silly at best.
