That’s just not true. The NFL started playing the national anthem since WW2. Before it was the official national anthem, professional baseball started playing it before games during WW1. The pledge was mandatory in the 40s.

I can defend someones right to protest and call them a piece of shite at the same time.
It's not that hard.
If it was a decent cause then that would be different. But these days people protest it because they are delusional woke marxist with victim mentality.
